by DATA-DOG in"a believer" seems to be our new apologist/disobedient sheep.
"a believer" ignores the "spirit-directed"/"bible-based" commands of the gb/fds!

If some of you can be more respectful when replying to me it would be appreciated.
I am not baptized or beginning to believe in any other religion so it's impossible for me to be disfellowshiped. I don't think me just being around or talking to non believers is a problem or otherwise Witnesses wouldn't allow their kids to attend public schools.

Do You Remember When JWs Relished Explaining Their Beliefs?
by minimus ini bet most witnesses could not explain their blood policy, their understanding of the slave, and even simple biblical doctrines....they are an embarrassment to any old timer..

For what reason would I lie? All I said was you could ask another JW if you didn't believe me. That they would let you use the bible you're more comfortable with in the beginning of a study with someone new isn't a foreign concept.

"You Wouldn't Believe How Many Have Crawled Back To The Meetings"
by minimus inthat's a comment i heard from an elder i haven't seen in over a decade, yesterday.
i mentioned it all on my other thread.
i responded that i knew of no one that was crawling back to the meetings and gave him an incredulous hearty chuckle.

No you shouldn't believe minimus. He hates the religion so of course he would make the interaction sound bad. I doubt this encounter even happened.

Thisisme I can't find it online. I'm only said that because I hear it from talkers and the ministry school. They let you use whatever bible you want to when you first begin studying with an unbeliver because they might be more comfortable with that version.
Of course now you will probably say I am lieing, and I could tell you to go talk to a JW you know and ask them. But then you will say you don't want to.

TTWYSF Our Bible is different in that Gods name is not replaced with a generic title. When first starting a personal study with someone they can use whatever bible they want.

There seem to be two main reasons. First, many claim that the name should not be used because the original way to pronounce it is unknown today. Ancient Hebrew was written without vowels. Therefore, no one today can say for sure exactly how people of Bible times pronounced YHWH. However, should this prevent us from using God’s name? In Bible times, the name Jesus may have been pronounced Yeshua or possibly Yehoshua—no one can say for certain. Yet, people the world over today use different forms of the name Jesus, pronouncing it in the way that is common in their language. They do not hesitate to use the name just because they do not know its first-century pronunciation. Similarly, if you were to travel to a foreign land, you might well find that your own name sounds quite different in another tongue. Hence, uncertainty about the ancient pronunciation of God’s name is no reason for not using it.

Live saving work. I've seen on this forum, even when someone bashes the religion they atleast admit the people of it are good.

I do not understand many posters here...why go to the KH if you dislike the religion so much? You think it's okay to bash it on here and it's private? Jehovah knows all
